Christina & Kris

Some couples you just click with. Christina and Kris were one of those from the very first moment. I met them during an engagement shoot in Nuremberg while Kris was visiting family in Germany, and the connection was so immediate that they asked me later to fly to the US for their wedding. I said yes without thinking twice.

So I found myself on a plane towards the US and already knew this day was going to be something special.

Christina started the morning writing letters to her loved ones, a tender moment that set the tone for everything that follows. After hair and makeup she surprised her bridesmaids and best friends with gifts, before everyone piled into the limo to Saint Clements Castle. Meanwhile Kris had his own getting ready moment, his mum helping him pin his boutonnière. Too cute!

At the castle, Christina slipped into her dress. Then came the first look with her dad, before the one with Kris. Two completely different emotions, both equally unforgettable.

The ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception all unfolded at the castle, the river glittering in the background as the day slowly turned toward sunset. There's something different about a wedding where every single guest has travelled a long way to be there – the energy in the room is just more alive, more grateful.

And then the party started. Proper dancing, every single person on the floor – including grandma and grandpa, who absolutely held their own. A donut wall, a candy bar, and the kind of end-of-night energy that makes you not want to put the camera down.

Christina described the two of them as loving, respectful, full of real conversations and a pinch of silliness. That came through in every single frame. It was an honour to be trusted with their day from across an ocean.
