Wedding | Imperial Castle Nuremberg
Anni & Laurenz
There are very few places in Nuremberg with the kind of weight that the Kaiserburg carries. Ancient stone, sweeping views over the rooftops, a sense that something significant has always happened here. And it was right in this setting, near the castle, that the day truly began.
Before any guests arrived, Anni and Laurenz had their first look – just the two of them, exchanging their personal vows in private. One of my favourite things to witness. No audience, no expectations, just two people reading their words to each other in the morning quiet. Couple portraits followed, the castle and its gardens doing exactly what you'd hope they would.
Then came the civil ceremony inside the Kaiserburg itself, before the day moved on to Tim's Kitchen in Fürth, where about 40 close friends and family gathered for the reception. Intimate in the best possible way – small enough that everyone in the room actually mattered, large enough to feel like a real celebration.
What struck me most about this couple was how present they were throughout the entire day. No rushing, no distraction, just the two of them fully in it. Those are the days that produce the best images, and Anni and Laurenz gave me exactly that.
„One month ago today, we lived one of the most beautiful days of our lives. Our hearts are still overflowing with joy, love, and gratitude as we look back on our wedding day - it was everything we dreamed of and more.
We feel incredibly thankful for everyone who made this day so special and unforgettable. And the best part? Every single moment has been captured forever. Looking through the countless breathtaking photos brought back all the emotions, and yes, even a few happy tears. Thank you for giving us this priceless gift!”
